In commemoration of the centennial years of the First World War, the project “The First World War Day-by-Day” was developed, offering daily Twitter posts on what happened 100 years before, to the day. This series is a captivating and thorough review of political, social and military history of all nations involved in the Great War, with particular attention to Canadian subjects. The daily research notes were produced in English and French, but not individually translated. An Index in English is a superb research tool to find appropriate days for information sought. Explore the complete First World War Day-by-Day resource on our Website with posts from “Kapitan Mathy’s Zeppelin Raids over England” – found on April 15, 1915, to "A Meeting in the Woods” found on November 8, 1918, where Maréchal Foch answers to the German Government’s request for a meeting in Rethondes, France, to discuss an imminent Armistice. An Index has been added to better explore these historical events. |
